The event will be an opportunity to socialise over drinks and nibbles. "Tapas provided; new friends promised," according to the club's poster.
Cafe owner Caleb Harvey believes this is the first time an event like this has been held openly here.
"I want to achieve a community-based feeling for the people within that LGBTQ community," he said; "to ensure they know that this is a safe space, a place where they can come and feel welcome and not judged."

Mr Harvey came to Armidale last year. "This is something I thought of, and wanted to do it - mainly for my selfish benefit!" he joked. "I don't know anyone."
The Armidale LGBTQ community is quite segregated, Mr Harvey believes, because there aren't enough events where people within those groups can get to know one another.
"Having everyone in one room would be extremely beneficial - making friends, et cetera," Mr Harvey said.
The local LGBTQ community has embraced the event, cafe manager Erin Hardaker said.
The cafe expects 100 people to attend.
"It's been insane!" Mr Harvey said. "I'm actually wondering how we're going to fit everyone in here. That's the next struggle!"
The Big Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Queer Evening will be held at the Social Club, 171 Beardy Street, at 7pm on August 13. Entry $10 at the door.
