The cool and breezy day was always going to suit the home team and it only took about 50 seconds for Ben Venue to open their account with right mid Myles Harris scoring the first goal.

Ben Venue continued to apply pressure with sustained possession of the ball and Hugo Fittler scored the second goal in the ninth minute. Ben Venue continued to work well as a team and were able to score three more goals before half-time.

In the second half the Moree attack lifted but the Ben Venue defence held strong, repelling any threats at their own end. At the final whistle Ben Venue had managed to score five more goals with a hat-trick to Myles Harris, two goals to Byron Kollosche and the final score 10-nil. Ben Venue will now go on to round seven against either Tamworth Public or Gunnedah South.
