The Eels finished their regular season on Saturday with a 46-10 victory over the Moree Boars but player-coach John Roberts was far from satisfied with the hit out.
"The game was a bit disjointed from the way I see it," he said.
"Moree didn't even come with a side, they had most of their juniors come which kind of threw us off.
"We should have played better than we did."
They will face the Boars again for the minor semi-final in Armidale, venue yet to be determined. In the lead up, there is plenty Roberts needs his team to work on.
"We are going to work on our ball work and line speed in defence," he said.
"That is the main focus for us over the next two weeks.
"Just coming back together as a unit.
"We were working on our handling errors as well."
