Dalwyn Jason Thomas Vale was arrested in the car stop on Long Swamp Road at Armidale, at about 10am on Tuesday.
Target Action Group (TAG) police searched the blue Toyota Hilux, after speaking to Vale and a passenger, and will allege they found 14g of methylamphetamine, or ice.
Cash as well as resealable bags were also seized from the car, along with a knife found in a bag.

New England Detective Inspector Ann Joy said the drugs have an estimated street value of $3,000.
"A 29-year-old male driver was arrested, and the other man, who was a passenger in the car was searched by officers and released," she said.
Vale, 29, was charged with supplying drugs, dealing with the suspected proceeds of crime and custody of a knife in a public place.
He spent the night in custody before fronting an out-of-sessions bail hearing in Armidale Local Court on Wednesday where he was released.
As part of his bail conditions, Vale must live in Kempsey, under a nighttime curfew; report to police daily; not contact witnesses; and is prohibited from entering Armidale or taking drugs or drinking alcohol.
He was also ordered to post $1,000 in surety and return to court in mid-August.
Police said the drugs were seized for forensic analysis and investigations were continuing.
