Blues will take on Robb in the annual Soldier On Day fundraiser this weekend. It is a very special event for Armidale Blues co-coach Luke Stephen and an important day for the club.

"In terms of raising funds for a charity that helps young returned servicemen with post traumatic stress, the cause is also close to our heart in the form of a former clubmate, Michael Fussell, who made the ultimate sacrifice for his country in Afghanistan in 2008," he said.
"So we come together each year to raise funds during the day as well as auctioning off some playing jumpers.
"The season's been up and down for us."
Soldier On is an Armidale and Guyra-based charity that helps servicemen and women ease back into normal life.

With UNE still on holidays this week, Robb co-coach Sam Ditchfield said only first and second grade would be playing and there were players coming back to Armidale from everywhere just to play rugby in this very special event.
"The last time we played was against Tamworth a fortnight ago," he said.
"At the moment Robb are on top of the table in both first and second grade. Blues have been a bit hot and cold.
"They beat Tamworth, who were the competition leaders, then got beaten by Albies pretty convincingly and they also got beaten by Baa Baas."
