At about 10:15pm on Friday, emergency services were called to a house fire on McBean Avenue in Armidale.
When New England Police District officers arrived, the home was completely engulfed in flames.
NSW Fire and Rescue crews worked to extinguish the fire by 1:20am but the house had already sustained significant structural damage.
No people were inside the home at the time, but the house itself was completely destroyed.
