Riders and their mounts travelled from around the region to compete in unrestricted and official tests from the preparatory walk and trot levels right up to the medium level with more difficult movements.
It was a typical Armidale morning - chilly and overcast - but the sun eventually came out to warm up riders and their horses.
It was Armidale Riding Club's second official event for the year after hosting their annual two-day championships in March.
Next month's event, anticipated for July 14, is scheduled to be the club's annual soup day with an unofficial training day competition and the final round of the members' high point score series.
