The duo teamed up for the four-day 195 kilometre Port to Port mountain biking event and took the win in the mixed pairs division.
Holly said the triumph was "up there as one of the best" in her career.
"It is honestly really cool," she said.
"Not many people get to share a win like that with their sibling, or even get to ride with their sibling.
"I feel really lucky.
"Sharing it is much better, it makes it a little bit sweeter."
They spend plenty of time side by side training together and Holly said that was a huge advantage heading into the competitive environment.
"We know when each other is tired, we know our strengths and weaknesses so that definitely helped," she said.
"We both are pretty determined so we both were giving it everything. Michael was really helpful.
"He knew I was trying as hard as I can and he just did everything he could to make it easier for me, taking the wind when I needed it."
The Harris siblings were two of 15 riders from the Armidale-based New England Mountain Bikers club competing in the gruelling stage race. Their father David also competed.
"He raced as well, Patty Ferris, he is from Armidale as well, and they had an awesome race," Holly said.
"They were pretty competitive overall in the men even though they are a lot older than a lot of the field.
"I think he was a little bit sad because we were faster than him."
Their calendar remains busy with individual and teams events coming up.
"We have actually got marathon national champs coming up next week in Brisbane which will be a good one," Holly said.
"We are looking at Reef to Reef which is another pairs race in Cairns. We are pretty excited for that."
