A MAN who allegedly sexually abused a teenage girl he met on social media will front Armidale Local Court today.

Police claim the man offered the girl money and drugs in exchange for sexual intercourse.
The 35-year-old is charged with seven offences after detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad investigated reports a 15-year-old girl had been sexually abused.
Officers arrested the man at a home in Armidale at about 11am on Thursday and executed a search warrant.
Drug paraphernalia and electronic storage devices were seized and the man was taken to Armidale Police Station.
It's alleged the man met the teenage girl on social media in March, he was charged with perform body piercing on any part of the nipples of a child, procure child for unlawful sexual activity, produce child abuse material, intentionally sexually touch child and three counts of aggravated sexual assault.

He was refused bail to appear at Armidale Local Court on Friday.
Detectives in the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad are specially trained to investigate matters against children and adults, including sexual assault, serious physical abuse and extreme cases of neglect.
