Heading into the clash, player-coach John Roberts was hoping his team could improve their discipline.
It didn't start out as sharp as Roberts had hoped.
Both sides traded tries for the Eels to hold a 14-10 lead at the break.
A near-perfect defensive effort in the second stanza, coupled with some of Narwan's best attacking plays, saw them post a further 28 points and keep the Magpies scoreless.
Roberts was rapt with the defence and the effort of the forwards laying the platform.
"Especially for Glen because they are such a strong side and they just never stop," he said.
"We had them for four or five sets on our line and our defence was the big key, it is what we have been focusing on for the last couple of weeks."
Glen Innes had no answer for Narwan's second phase play with offloads putting them to the sword.
Roberts said the ad-lib style isn't what they were aiming to do but was happy with the win.
"We try and say 'let's just play simple football' but we are in the motion and the boys just think they can get that one extra pass," he said.
"We will nail that down and work towards Moree [Boomerangs] next week."
The win capped off their mother's day celebrations which honoured all the women within their club.
It was their second home game for the year and Roberts was elated they could get the win in front of local fans.
"I am just proud of my boys, the stepped up, especially in front of a home crowd on our ladies' day," he said.
"It is just such a good thing to do."
Earlier in the day, the Glen Innes league tag team recorded their second win for the season against Narwan.
Final score was 22-4.
