Taking on a win-less Barbarians outfit after two weeks off the training paddock, Robb were off the pace in the early stages of the game.
They scored the first try via Charles Harris of the round five fixture but sloppy handling put the students on the back foot.
The Baa Baas put themselves in front at half-time 10-5 with a penalty goal to Matias Pfaff and a converted try to Tyrone Sio-Avia.
The second stanza saw Robb College blow away the cob webs and climb above 40 points for the third time this season.
They put themselves back in front on the scoreboard with tries to Jack Barham, Harris and Lawson Muir.
Pfaff knocked over another penalty goal for the Baa Baas while the ever-dangerous Sio-Avia crossed for another converted try to bring the Baa Baas back to within striking distance.
Robb, however, put the Baa Baas to the sword in the final 10 minutes with three more converted tries to blow out the scoreline to 47-20.
Robb co-coach Sam Ditchfield said patience in the second-half was a major contributor to the win.
"Just maintained a bit of possession and got a bit of continuity," he said.
"They were probably getting a bit frustrated with how things went in the first-half and had to go back to reset and keep control of the ball mainly.
"We were guilty of going into the tackle and turning the ball over and not getting any continuity."
While the scoreline heavily favoured the students, Ditchfield believes the match was a lot closer that the 27-point win indicates.
"It was really in the last 15 minutes," he said.
"It was only in the last third of the game we got clear.
"With 15 to go it was still go close.
"Happy to get the win on the back of two weeks not training."
In the other match, St Albert's College managed to clinch a 31-23 win over Armidale Blues.
