The Barbarians had the bye in round two and were beaten in their opening match of the season against Tamworth 30-19.
"We had the bye last week which doesn't feel like we have got off the nudie run yet, off the no wins so we are pretty keen to get a win this weekend," Baa Baas coach Greg Wynn said.
Wynn said the Baa Baas outfit is a fairly new one and they haven't had time to "gel."
"We have been working on that in the last fortnight," he said.
"If we can pull in the same direction and pull our combinations together I am fairly hopeful we can put in a good performance."
Their opponents, St Albert's College were beaten convincingly in round one by college rivals Robb and then by Tamworth in round two.
Albies co-coach Scott Waterson was pleased with their efforts against Tamworth.
"Vastly improved performance against Tamworth last week," he said.
"Taking nothing away from the Magpies, they played with luck and were good enough to beat us, but there were very positive signs for Albies rugby."
Waterson is keen to keep the Baa Baas winless and said the Albies team will have to be on the ball from the get-go.
"Very important match in the context of the season where both sides will look to kick-start their year and stay in touch with the front runners," he said.
"We know Barbarians snuck out to an early lead against Tamworth so they have some firepower, it will be up to us to counteract that and negate their strengths."
The Baa Baas will be celebrating Ladies Day at Alcatraz.
"Just giving thanks back to the ladies of our club," Wynn said.
"We are very proud of our sevens side.
"We are very proud of the ladies within our club and this Saturday is our way of giving back to them."
