Friends of Armidale Library (FOAL) were delighted with community support of their fundraising Quiz Night on Friday, April 5. All the proceeds from the night will be put into providing structures for works of art to be displayed.

Over the years, many extra books including large print, talking books, Baby Bags, DVDs and furnishings have been donated by FOAL, and all contributed to making the library a great place to be.
Friends of Armidale Library wish to thank everyone who attended and we also thank the Armidale Golf Club who help by setting up a wonderful venue.
Eggcitement is building at Armidale Regional Council libraries, as they prepare for a fortnight of free school holiday activities from Monday.
Activities for children of all ages will begin with an Easter crafts session at the Armidale Regional War Memorial Library on April 15 from 10am-3pm. Participants will get to create vintage egg baskets, bunny ears, decorated eggs and other Easter related paper crafts.
Both Armidale and Guyra libraries will host Once Upon a Brick, giving kids the chance to tell stories through Lego. Kids will work in small groups to build brick worlds, with different types of Lego to suit children of all ages.
Once Upon a Brick will be held at the Armidale library on Tuesday, April 16 from 10am-11.30am, and at the Guyra library on Thursday, April 18 from 10am, including Duplo and a motorised K'NEX Mario Kart track.
Illustrator Danny Stanley is a regular and popular part of the Armidale library's school holiday events, and he returns with a comic book session on the Tuesday afternoon. Children aged eight and over can design and create their own mini-comic books between 2pm-4.30pm.
Alternatively, head to the Guyra library on the same afternoon and design squishy Play-Doh creations from 2pm-3pm.
Learn how to make woollen pompoms, when two sessions are held at the Armidale library on Wednesday, April 17. Two sessions will be held, from 10am-11.30am and 2pm-3.30pm, for kids of all ages.

Also on April 17, children aged eight and over can take a plain t-shirt to the Guyra library from 11am and experience tie-dying using sharpies.
Mountains of Lego will be available for free play session at both libraries on Tuesday April 23, for a full day at the Armidale library from 10am and at the Guyra library from 10am-noon.
Explore the coastal feeling with a creative sand art session at the Guyra library on Wednesday, April 24 from 11am.
