ARMIDALE FAMILY HISTORY GROUP
Armidale Family History Group Inc's April monthly meeting is on the subject of The History of National Service in Australia, with Barry Dawson as the speaker. Doors open 7pm come in and browse our library. We are open Monday 2pm-5pm Wed 10am to 4pm except public holidays. Interested in family history, need a brickwall broken or just want a chat come and speak to our volunteers, come along to the Armidale Family History Centre in Kentucky Street.

ADFAS LECTURE: SOPHIE MASSON
The ADFAS Armidale lecture will be at the Michael Hoskins Centre, The Armidale School, 6pm. It will feature Sophie Masson, who is an acclaimed author of more than 60 books for children and adults. She has won the Patricia Wrightson Prize for Children's Literature in the NSW Premier's Literary Awards, and the young adult category in the Aurealis Awards. Guests are welcome at lectures. ABORIGINAL CULTURAL CENTRE EXHIBITIONS
Aboriginal Nurses and Midwives - a photographic exhibition, Fabrics and Ornaments of Newborn - an artefact exhibition, and Women's Role in Traditional Living by Nioka Chatfield and Tania Walker - a visual art exhibition are now on show at the Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Keeping Place at 96-104 Kentucky Street. The centre is open between 9am and 4pm from Monday to Friday, and 10am to 2pm on Saturday. For more information, phone 6771 3606.
