At 10am on Thursday morning, the NSW Electoral Commission made the draw to determine the order candidates will appear on the ballot paper for the seat of Northern Tablelands and the incumbent, Nationals Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall, drew the number one spot.

He will be followed in second spot by Labor's Debra O'Brien, Greens' Dorothy Robinson will be in third with Shooters, Fishers and Farmers party candidate Rayne Single listed fourth.
The draw was held in the temporary electoral office just down from the Post Office in Beardy Street Mall and was attended by Ms O'Brien and Ms Robinson and supporters of Mr Marshall and Mr Single.supporters.

Ms O'Brien said she was happy with her position on the ballot paper this time around.
"I usually don't get as quite a good position as that, I'm often middle to last," she said.
"I cant be critical of the other candidates not being here today because it is a big electorate and it is hard to get around it.
"Yeah. But I was in Moree and I came back."
She laughed.
Ms O'Brien then announced she would be preferencing the Greens.
"We weren't sure. I had to check with my campaign director and everything, but I was pretty happy to preference the Greens."
Ms Robinson said number three was a nice number, and she would settle for that.
"I got here on my bicycle, and yes, I have figured out our preferences," she said.
"Labor has the most policies in common with the Greens, and from the Greens point of view of representing our region, economy and environment it is an excellent point of view."
