Six touch football teams are vying for glory when the northern conference of the junior state cup gets underway on Friday.

Four boys' teams - under 10s, 12s, 14s and 18s - and two girls' - under 12s and 14s - are off to Port Macquarie for the three-day tournament.
This is the first year for all those boys but I expect all the teams to win a couple of games.

There are players from Armidale, Guyra, Tenterfield and Tamworth making up the teams.
The under 18s have played together at the competition for a number of years and coach Dean Carson believes they are a chance at making the finals.
"The 18s are a good team, they have been going for quite a few years now so they know what to expect," he said.
"They should go alright, pretty experienced."
There is plenty of talent among the young players and Carson believes the under 10s are have a shot at upsetting a handful of teams.
"I think out 10s might be the surprise packets, the could go alright too," he said.
"This is the first year for all those boys but I expect all the teams to win a couple of games."
They play seven games on Friday and Saturday.
If they make the finals they will also take the field on Sunday.
The top teams will play the state finals in April in the Illawarra.
