The 59-year-old suffered neck, shoulder and hip injuries in the accident at Dangarsleigh about 3.15pm.
Ambulance paramedics were called to the property on Coxs Road near the intersection of Elliott Road after reports the man had been trampled and kicked by a horse.
A spokesperson for Ambulance NSW said paramedics were taking spinal precautions for the patient.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was also tasked from Tamworth with a doctor and paramedic on board and assessed the patient at the scene.
The man was stabilised and transported to Tamworth hospital by road ambulance, the spokesperson said.
He was believed to be in a stable condition.
