Bring along the family or a group of friends and enjoy the lovely selection of stalls, live music, and terrific playground at McHattan Park from 8.30am.
Rotary will be cooking their delicious bacon and egg rolls, and the girls from the Farmers Market committee will have plenty of their refreshing homemade lemonade on hand to quench your thirst.
Live music will be performed by the Grim Brothers, who have recently released a much anticipated CD of their original music. Matt and Mish discovered a common interest in old school country, 70’s country rock and a touch of Americana during a jam in spring of 2014. After a number of gigs around the New England, the Grim Brothers formed. Copies of their CD will be available on the day.
Why not make a day of it in Walcha, enjoying the farmers market in the morning, following by a swim in the Olympic size Walcha pool? Admission is only $6 per day or $12 for a family, the perfect way to cool off with the summer heat.
“As always, don’t forget to bring along your excess produce, home cooking, eggs, plants, and so on to the Community Stall,” Walcha Farmers Market Secretary, Lisa Kirton said.
“It is a great way of making extra money from your excess produce or cooking. Just drop your items off to the Community Stall anytime on market day, and we will sell them for you. No application necessary, and no requirement for you to stay the day. All proceeds from your sales will be given to you after the market, minus 20% commission.
“It’s a great way for people to get involved in the markets and make some money without taking out their own stall” Lisa said.
The Walcha Farmers’ Market is held on the third Saturday of the month (except during winter) from 8.30am – 12.30pm in McHattan Park, near the Walcha Visitor Information Centre.
