The War Veteran’s Cup team didn’t get off the ground in round one but managed to pull together for their second match against Inverell for a resounding win.
Skipper Todd Francis has rounded up the troops once again and has named a team what he believes to be “not too bad.”
“It is good to get a side isn't it?” he said.
“Let's be honest, the last time we tried to travel with a rep side we really struggled.
“We have 12 to take out there on Sunday so hopefully we can continue with what we did in the last rep game and get a good win.
“We will just go out there with the side we have got and hopefully get the win.”
Francis admitted he doesn’t “know too much” about Gunnedah’s cricketers.
“They are a bit hit and miss out there too, some years you come up against them they are phenomenal and then other years they might struggle a bit, like we are for numbers in rep,” he said.
“We are not used to those types of conditions out there, the heat especially, so it will be interesting to see how a few of us go but we will just take it as it comes.
“If we can get a good result in rep for Armidale, hopefully it sparks a bit of interest for us.
“That is the idea, hopefully get more people playing rep cricket is the overall what we are trying to achieve.”
