The course provides technical skills, game understanding, teaching techniques, effective ways to conduct training sessions and awareness of the factors motivating young people to play and enjoy cricket.
This coaching course is recommended to:
Volunteers involved in coaching junior club, school and community cricket teams.
Talented youth cricketers who are keen to be involved in coaching junior teams.
Players considering playing overseas during the off-season.
Physical Education and trainee Physical Education teachers.
The Community Coaching Course consists of:
Completing the Cricket Australia Introduction to Cricket Course (a free online theoretical component).
Attending a face to face practical component run by Cricket NSW. This will cover all basic batting, bowling, fielding and wicketkeeping skills, together with modified games and activities
How to Register:
If you haven’t already completed the Introduction to Cricket on-line component, go to https://community.cricket.com.au/coach/courses/community-coach-accreditation-course-armidale/yKq5PzQXx02REPztilWIqw
The online section must be completed before attending the practical session.
Once completed, you will then be able to enrol in the Level One Coaching Course in your region.
Once your online enrolment is complete, you can attend the course
Cost: FREE
Prerequisites: Nil
Enrolment: To be completed at least one week prior to course commencement date
Age: Minimum candidate age is 13 years
Dress: Wear comfortable clothing to the practical session (shorts, t-shirt, joggers)

Membership to Cricket Coaches Australia (CCA)
Coaching card & certificate
Invitation to coaching seminars
