At the start of 2018, Peta was recovering from a brain tumour but in July, found out the tumours had returned, this time to her spine.
Peta is currently in hospital in Newcastle and has lost the use of her legs.
As Peta is an up-and-coming athletics star, Stone organised a special running event for the athlete who was in his Viper athletics squad.
Peta was number 242 in the squad so a 242m running event was held on Wednesday afternoon.
Eight races were held with each runner graded based on their age.
Glen Innes’ world masters champion athlete Neville McIntyre was crowned the winner.
The event preceded the annual invitational 400m handicap event.
