Armidale and New England Show Society and the Armidale CWA have teamed up to present the Armidale Drought Relief Trivia Night to be held at the Armidale Ex-Services Club at 6.30pm for a 7pm start on Friday, October 19.
Event organiser society president Kelso Looker said it would be a child and family friendly event.
“The show has been doing stuff with Armidale for 144 years next year, and we’re probably going to feel the drought quite a lot, given that most of our clientele (for the want of a better word) come from the country and on the farm,” Kelso said.
“So, we thought what better way of encouraging a bit of good will both ways, and help out the people who, come march next year, will be supporting us.”
Kelso said both organisations wanted to do something just a little bit different to get everyone out for a good night.
“We did a lot of the leg work because CWA has done many events and are probably run a little ragged at the moment,” he said.
