Every day, Rita Plummer walks her dog "Scruffy" along a track in some light bushland at the end of the street she lives in. They both love it. Kids play, on their bikes and on foot, in the wooded paddock and Rita said she loves to see them there.

What she hates to see is the growing amount of rubbish that is being illegally dumped on the land.
What we've got is an offshoot of the tip.

"Not a lot of people come up here unless they're going to throw rubbish, but I come up here every day and I see the rubbish growing every day,” Rita said.
"There's household items, clothing; there's been no fridges, but there has been old televisions chucked out up here. Children’s clothing, children's toys, lots of children's toys and foodstuffs. Everything that someone wants to get rid of."
Rita said she was sure the land did not belong to council and did not remember any clean up of the paddock at any time
Armidale Regional Council confirmed the paddock was owned by Land and Housing Corporation Family Community Services. A council spokesman has asked that Rita officially report the matter.
