The club has qualified for both the reserve and first grade deciders to be played this Saturday in Tamworth.
While the reserve grade division lifted the trophy in 2004, the top grade side are still vying for their first trophy since the formation of the premier league competition.
It is also coach Evan Quaife’s first shot at the title since he stepped up to the role in 2014.
Quaife’s team have a tough task in front of them, facing the undefeated Tamworth FC in the trophy battle.
Despite heading into one of the biggest games of his coaching career, Quaife admitted he is relaxed and just “enjoying” the hype.
“I usually get quite anxious before some games but before the Easts game, after we had beaten Oxley Vale, I had a really at ease feeling and I have got the same feeling still,” he said.
“The pressure is all on them [FC]. They will want to go through the season undefeated.
“There is no pressure on us at all, we are just enjoying the week. We will turn up on the day and I am sure we will put in a really good performance.”
Quaife has full faith in his young squad, having coached a large number of them through the junior ranks, collecting another trophy along the way.
“I have coached half these fellas in an under 19s grand final a few years ago,” he said.
“[Mitch] Gwynney, Naran [Singh], Tom Landes, Cal Macgregor and a few others all played in the team that were major and minor premiers.”
While a grand final can be daunting for anyone, it’s not often you are tasked with taking down a team who hasn’t lost all season.
But Quaife isn’t worried about his opponents.
“I am not even thinking about Tamworth at all, I just want us to go in with the right mindset and try and reproduce the last two games, mistake-free,” he said.
“At trainings and things, everyone is on a bit of a high.
“I have told them regardless of the result on Saturday I am very proud of everyone.”
The reserve grade team are aiming for third time lucky after making the 2016 and 17 deciders and finishing as runners-up. They play minor premiers North Companions for the prize.
