Armidale Regional Council Mayor Cr Simon Murray said many of the business representatives were not familiar with the region and were pleasantly surprised.
“The luncheons provided us with an opportunity to sell the wonderful assets of our region and to discuss our strategic planning and major projects that will drive growth and opportunity,” Cr Murray said.
“We had business people representing banks, super funds, accommodation providers, airlines, senior public servants and the horticultural industry. We made it very clear that the Armidale Region and Council were open for business.”
Presentations focused on the positive economic outlook for the Armidale Region with well thought out strategic plans moving forward to 2025.
These included our significantly superior NBN and technology infrastructure, ideal climate conditions and abundant water, access to premium educational institutions, business growth and opportunities in all major industry sectors, excellent transport links to major cities in Sydney and Brisbane, affordable housing and excellent lifestyle opportunities.
