Mamamia Out Loud!

Grab your girlfriends, sisters, mothers and partners for a night out with Mamamia Out Loud! – Live on August 17 at Tamworth Town Hall.

The award-winning podcast, hosted by Mia Freedman, Holly Wainwright and Jessie Stephens is coming to Tamworth to raise money for drought relief in the local area through well-known charity, Drought Angels, supporting local farmers, their families and communities.

There is no topic too big or too small for these hosts. Expect laughs, discussions and everything from pop culture to politics, body image to motherhood and feminism to fashion.

Madame Butterfly

Book now for Puccini’s Madame Butterfly, on August 4 at 7.30pm at Capitol Theatre. Madame Butterfly is a love story that reaches across cultures, across oceans, across time.

U.S. Naval officer B.F. Pinkerton is ashore in Japan, and enchanted with its beauty and freedoms. He decides to take a wife, and when the gorgeous geisha Butterfly arrives, he is transfixed by her charms. She falls hopelessly in love, and a passionate marriage begins.

One of Australia’s greatest theatrical minds, John Bell, directs this English-language production, complete with beautiful costumes and sets.

Hear Opera Australia’s wonderful singers perform with a chamber orchestra, along with a children’s chorus, drawn from our Tamworth community by Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Music.

Romeo and Juliet

Also on its way is Romeo and Juliet.

This is a timeless Shakespeare tale of young love struggling to survive amid a brutal and long-standing feud between two families.

Tamworth Dramatic Society is proud to present this “made in Tamworth” production of Shakespeare’s most beloved play, as vibrant and lively as ever, speaking boldly across the centuries to the divided world we live in today.

You can catch Tamworth Dramatic Society’s production of Romeo and Juliet at Capitol Theatre Tamworth from Friday, August 17 through to Saturday, August 25.

Model Citizens

Model Citizens, performed by Circus Oz at the Capitol Theatre on September 1 and 2, seamlessly blends the risk and beauty of breathtaking physical improbability with theatricality, choreography and Circus Oz’s distinct brand of Australian humour.
