The Tigers were clinical against the Roos and took a 28-12 win to put themselves three points clear of Warialda on the table heading into the final round.
After a disappointing draw against Tenterfield the week prior, the Tigers were aiming to regroup and find their form against Walcha.
“We talked about defence and completing our sets which we didn't do against Tenterfield,” captain-coach Josh Clark said after the game.
“I thought we turned that around today [Saturday].
“Really we just wanted to work on our defence and completing our sets like we have been doing all year and we got back to that so I was happy with our effort.”

Midway through the season, Uralla dared to dream about securing the major semi-final.
“It is a big plus for us, that is what we have been trying to get for the last six weeks,” Clark said.
“Going through undefeated for the last round was what we were trying to achieve and we are on our way now. We will see how we go against Guyra and launch into the finals from there.”
In the split round 15 and 16 fixtures, Uralla have this weekend off before hosting Guyra for their final home game of the regular season.
The Tigers are aiming to keep their home record in tact when they face the firing Super Spuds.
“We are going to have a week off and try and get our boys 100 per cent fit again and push through into Guyra and beat them at home and keep our 100 per cent record and probably play them again in the major semi,” Clark said.
“In our defence we have to be right on our game – they have a pretty big forward pack and they probably have got us for size but I think my forward pack has got them for agility and determination.
“It will be a really tight game up there going into the finals.”
The Super Spuds have been boosted by the mid-season addition of livewire Corey Torrens who sparked Guyra to a win over Warialda in round 14.
“Corey Torrens is a quality player,” Clark said.
“I played against him for quite a long time and everyone knows he is a pretty good player and he will put a show on as he always does.”
In the league tag on Saturday, the previously unbeaten Uralla outfit were handed their first loss for the season against the Jillaroos.
The home side posted 18 points to Uralla’s four to land the win. The two sides will meet again in the major semi-final on August 18.
