However, it’ll be the TCAI who will first fire up the barbecue for one of their renowned breakfasts starting around 8am.
Items such as cut glass crystal, vintage furniture, jugs, ornaments, pre-loved brand clothing and unique pieces will be up for sale.
Fourteen golf bags, assorted golfing irons and 50 good quality pairs of football boots up for grabs with all money from the sales going to benefit the Tingha Tigers rugby league club.
“There will be artwork, prints, locally-made cakes and lollies, furniture from BEST’s Community Shed and Aboriginal artwork. There will be no disappointments,” she said.
TCAI’s aim is to highlight Tingha’s culture, heritage and encourage people to visit the small village.

“Basically we keep the town running. For six years we’ve hosted a tin festival which keeps getting stronger and stronger along with our Chinese Lantern Festival which has developed a great relationship with the Chinese Consulate in Sydney,” she said.
Consulate staff have even sourced a Chinese journalist crew to visit Tingha next week to film a documentary on Tingha’s Chinese descendants and rich history.
“The journalists are very moved by the fact that such a small community care about the incredible input of the Chinese,” Colleen said.
