Police are searching for the man in relation to the hold-up of the fast food outlet on the night of June 16.
CCTV shows the man leaning his mountain bike up against the wall of the Dumaresq Street restaurant just before 10pm, and then enters the store.
“Police will allege the offender made threats of violence before stealing a quantity of cash,” New England Acting Superintendent Roger Best said.
“Detectives are appealing for anyone who knows the identity of the male who could assist with their inquiries, or who might have seen the man earlier or later that night.”
Police also now believe an armed hold-up three days later isn’t directly connected.
“Detectives are investigating possible links but police suspect that there may be two individuals involved in the offences,” Acting Superintendent Best said.

A man armed with a knife entered the Domino’s in Queen Elizabeth Drive store just before 10pm on Tuesday.
He threatened a male employee and demanded cash, but the worker refused, and the man attempted to open the till, before leaving the scene empty-handed.
Detectives are investigating the armed hold-up and said the man is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 170cm tall and with a solid build.
He was last seen wearing a jacket and long pants, and had his face covered.
Anyone with information on the robberies or who witnessed suspicious activity in the area is urged to contact Armidale detectives on 6771 6999.
