The men’s side sit in front of Tenterfield on the ladder, based on points differential, after beating the Bullets 32-8. 

While they took the win, Uralla captain-coach Josh Clark said it wasn’t their best performance. 

“It was pretty scrappy on our behalf but we got there in the end,” he said. 

“We went over there a bit short, we didn’t have full numbers. 

“It was good to get the win, we needed it to get to first and put some pressure on Tenterfield and hopefully we just roll on from that into Ashford I suppose.”

While they were short on numbers, they came up against a Bingara side also decimated by injury but Clark had the option to rest a handful of his players. 

“I rested a few players and had a few out so blokes who haven’t had much of a run got one on the weekend,” he said. 

“My front rowers played a lot of minutes to try and get fitness up. Apart from that we were pretty sloppy but got over the line. I think they only had 15 players so they’re struggling a bit but it is always good to go over there and win.”

In the league tag, the Tigers continued their unbeaten run with another convincing win. 

After leading 18-6 at half-time, the Uralla team continued their dominance and held out their opponents to take the game 30-6. 

Uralla have the bye this weekend before travelling to Ashford for round 12.
