The exhibition features new artworks by leading Aboriginal Australian contemporary artists including Robert Andrew, Fiona Foley, Laurie Nielsen and Judy Watson and is being curated by leading Indigenous curator Bianca Beetson.
It was one of two events held in Armidale to mark the anniversary of the 1838 massacre of 28 Aboriginal men, women and children.

A symposium held at the University of New England’s Oorala Aboriginal Centre kicked off the four-day program, which culminated with a ceremony at the Myall Creek site near Bingara.
Leading Aboriginal author and historian Bruce Pascoe delivered the keynote lecture at the symposium.
The event featured a line-up of leading artists, writers, historians and commentators discussing the significance of the massacre in 1838, the events which followed afterwards and the annual commemoration event held each June at the memorial near Bingara.
