The last time they clashed in round six, Robb clinched a 26-20 win and both sides were aiming for university bragging rights this time for the re-scheduled round 10 fixture.
From the get-go, Albies dominated after they exposed Robb’s left-hand defence within the opening minutes for Sam Knight to cross and snag the first five-pointer.
Jonty Harris followed suit shortly after, followed by Joe Vary to give Albies a 17-nil lead.
Five minutes from half-time, Tom Bucknell put Robb on the board but Albies hit back through Jack Lane to head into the break up 24-7.
The second session started similarly to the first, this time in favour of Robb with Nick Sorensen making his way over the line.
Drew Walsh made no mistake with the conversion as Robb edged within 10 points at 24-14.
Celebrations were short-lived for Robb as Albies’ Vary crossed for his second.
Robb fullback Charlie Steele-Park was quick to answer as he pounced on a grubber next to the posts for a converted try.
Then it was Albies who scored via Tom Condon to give his side a 15-point buffer.
Max Cowley brought the deficit back to 10 for Robb with his try and then George Jackson reduced it to a one-point game with another converted try.
At 36-35, pressure mounted for both sides and Robb received a penalty to go two in front.
Walsh again was faultless in his attempt and put them in front 38-36 with 10 minutes left.
Albies secured a scrum win deep into Robb territory and Sam Knight barged his way over to take back the lead.
Mistakes and penalties followed before Hamish Martin-Smith crossed for Robb.
With less than one minute left on the clock, scores were locked at 43-all.
Walsh continued his excelled day with the boot and nailed the conversion to land his team the 45-43 win.
