While most sports took a break for the long weekend, local riders braved a true Armidale winter’s day to put their best foot forward for the day’s events.
“It was cold but we still had a great turnout of riders from the preparatory tests through to the advanced and FEI-level tests,” the club’s publicity officer Megan Bourke said.
“The little bit of rain we had on Saturday helped settle the dust in the arenas which made for great riding.
“We had a number of people pitch in and help out throughout the day which was great to see.
“The club is looking forward to the final round of the championship series in September to see who is at the top-of-the-table and takes out the champions’ prizes.”
