The championships are set in Gosford and, for the first time in a number of years, Armidale will enter an under 17 team for the division three competition.
Building on from last year, the local association will also contest the open division two tournament.
“Our 17s may go not too badly,” Armidale district netball’s coaching coordinator Rochelle Joyce said.
“We have a group of them who have played with each other for a little while.
“Our opens team is lots of girls from different comps.
They should go okay, it is just a matter of how they bond over the weekend.

“We have uni girls and some who play out of town and are just in town for the weekend so they haven't had as much match play yet.
“For them it will be a lot of growing over the weekend.
“They should go okay, it is just a matter of how they bond over the weekend.”
The 2017 state championships saw Armidale enter a team at the last minute and Joyce said this year’s team is just hoping to improve on their previous efforts.
“Last year we put a team in and it was the first time in a little while we put a team in,” she said.
“It is good we have got two teams, last year we only had one so we have re-built again which is good.”
