The game against the Mushies was a dampener on their season after a big 5-1 win over North Companions the round prior.
“We played well enough, we just couldn't score,” coach Mark Gwynne said of the OVA game.
“We didn't take our chances, we had half a dozen good chances we should have scored.
“They got two lucky goals early, they were really lucky.
“You get a couple of early goals and that gives everybody confidence.”
DK brag a stronger record from recent clashes with Easts and Gwynne is hoping his team can re-find their form for the match.
“They are going to be hard, we struggle to beat them all the time,” he said.
“They seem to be our bogey side, I don't know why but if we play like we did the week before I am sure we will be competitive.
“We have to start winning games from here on in too.
“We are getting better and better every week but it is just getting that same team on the park that I am comfortable with.
“It will be a good game, it will be close, it won't be easy.”
The family and sponsors day for East Armidale is set to celebrate a new partnership between the club and Optus.
Eight soccer games will be played throughout the day as well as a range of activities.
A big inflatable dart board with velcro soccer balls for prizes will be there, a sausage sizzle all day as well as soccer-related challenges and activities.
