The “Variety Bash” runs from Newcastle to Newcastle via Glen Innes, Narrabri, Forbes, Griffith, Orange and Mudgee. It’s made its first stop in Glen Innes where the drivers of the 105 cars stopped for breakfast.
It’s all to raise money for charity.
The rule is that the car can’t be seriously altered in terms of engine or power but it can be decorated in different themes.
And did they decorate? They did – everything from Lego to super heroes to sticking a rocking chair on the roof.
Variety Bash advertises itself as not a race or a rally but an adventure with mates who visit towns and stop at schools like Glen Innes Public School on the way.
