This year’s competition hit off on Saturday and, with about 500 memberships signing up to take the hockey field, 2018 is set to be a bumper season ahead for all involved.
Hockey New England are proud advocates of Hookin2Hockey, the national junior hockey program designed by Hockey Australia for kids 10 years and under.
“The program gives young boys and girls the opportunity to learn basic skills of hockey, develop fundamental motor skills and make friends all while beginning their lifelong love of hockey,” Hockey New England’s junior convenor Peta Deiderick said.
“This is the first experience most children will have with hockey. It is an action packed, fun filled half hour session that will show participants how exciting hockey can be through a number of simple, yet engaging games.”
The sessions run on Fridays at 4pm and either 9:30am or 10:10am on Saturdays.
