Hosting an event as part of Fashion Revolution Week, Ms Smouha started her store three years ago with the idea to change how people shop.
“The majority of the time when you buy something you don’t really know where it’s come from or the story behind it,” Ms Smouha said.
“We’re trying to bring awareness to a transparent supply chain, talking about what is ethical or sustainable fashion.”
Fashion Revolution Week started five years ago, after the Rana Plaza factory collapsed in Bangladesh killing 1138 people.
Throughout the week brands are encouraged to use the #imadeyourclothes and demonstrate transparency in their supply chain.
Ultimately you can make choices that are good for you and good for the planet.

In Armidale, Fiona Kelly and Sara Schmude will join the event to demonstrate different ways to extend the life cycle of clothing and talk about slow fashion.
There will be a clothes swap, where shoppers can bring a pre-loved item to donate and go home with clothes someone else brought.
Ms Smouha hopes buyers leave her event with the knowledge that they really do vote with their dollar.

“Consumers are asking what’s going on, in the end businesses will focus on what you’re doing,” she said.
“We want people to take away from this that you as a consumer can create change, you can make big businesses shift their mindsets, it’s really important for people to understand that they hold the power.
“Ultimately you can make choices that are good for you and good for the planet.”
The event will also include an eco styling session about creating a capsule wardrobe and working out cost per wear on ethical clothes.
Tickets are free, the event is limited to 40 people and includes a locally sourced charcuterie board and bubbly.
The event is on this Saturday at Rag and Trader from 5pm to 7pm.
