After a number struggle in the lead-up to the Northern Inland Premier League, Norths United have posted back-to-back wins with their latest a big win over East Armidale. The Redmen beat North Companions 1-nil in round two before their 4-1 win against the men in green at Doody Park on Saturday.

Co-coach Scott Freeman put the win down to the team coming together and sticking to their game plan.
“Good commitment from all the players, just stuck to our structure and let the ball do the work instead of beat everybody ourselves, individually,” he said.
“We played as a team, it was good.”
While they have had a spike in numbers, Freeman said the club is still not fully stocked.
“We still ran first graders on for reserve grade so we are still not at 100 per cent,” he said.
“Things are going 100 per cent better than what they were.
“When we get our full squad on the park we are going to cause problems for teams.”
