Emergency services rushed to a Kennedy Street home after it was engulfed in flames on Monday night.

Firefighting crews received a number of calls to attend the Kennedy Street house fire at about 9.30pm on Monday, April 23, an Armidale Fire and Rescue spokesperson wrote on their Facebook page.
“On arrival, thick smoke was issuing from the windows and eves. The fire was quickly brought under control with no-one injured,” the emergency service spokesperson said.
“Unfortunately, the structure was badly damaged.”
No-one was home at the time of the blaze.
Armidale police Inspector Chris McKinnon said police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the house fire.
“No cause has been confirmed yet. A forensic investigation is being conducted at the site to determine the cause of the fire,” he said.
