The Nomads backed up their round one crushing of premiers Gunnedah Bulldogs with a 22.20-152 to 4.3-27 demolition of the Swans on Saturday.
In the round one game against Gunnedah, the Nomads started slow before racing home to an 88-point win.
Against the Swans, the Nomads continued where they left off from the week before.
“I thought that we stuck to our structures a lot better, especially having another week's training,” coach James Treweeke said.
“After Gunnedah we worked on a few things and fixed them up and a few people coming back into the team who missed the first round helped a lot.
“We picked up straight away in the first quarter.
“I really hammered home that the Swans, once they do start losing, they don't give up.
“They always try right until the end so I really hammered that into the team and we really stuck to our guns the whole game so I was pretty happy.”
This weekend the Nomads will travel to Moree to play the Suns who were beaten by Inverell 23.31-169 to 4.6-30 on Saturday.
The Nomads rely on University of New England students to fill spots in their squad and with the holidays beginning this weekend, Treweeke is unsure who he will have lining up against Moree.
“It is the first weekend of uni holidays so we might struggle a little bit with numbers but I am hoping we can get a team together,” he said.
Saturday’s encounter also marks the first outing for the Nomads women’s team.
Treweeke said there are 14 players ready to face the Moree outfit but they are always looking for more to sign up.
Training is 5pm Tuesdays and Thursdays at Bellevue Oval.
