Former Uralla trainer Mitch Faulkner knows now he made a wise decision to move his racing team and set up a new base at the Tamworth Paceway.

The results were on display at the Friday night Tamworth harness meeting when Faulkner produced three winners as both a trainer and driver.
“I think the move has paid off. The horses seem happy and they have showed that tonight,” Faulkner said.
Gottashopearly kicked off the victorious run of wins for the stable in the Dome Financial Group Tamworth Pace with a 4.7-metre win over race favourite Condafew and Lorenzo Shannon another 2.6 metres away third.
“I was surprised the leaders held on as long as they did but I was a bit stronger,” Faulkner said.
Lorenzo Shannon led the field as the bell sounded with Mastersign racing out in the breeze – Gottashopearly had the advantage of the one by one before Faulkner elected to put in a three-wide run.
“We were lucky enough that out of the gate to lob in the one by one from the 11 barrier,” Faulkner said.
Rounding the final turn for home Gottashopearly was racing three wide with Condafew and Lorenzo Shannon racing inside the five-year-old gelding.
“It worked out well – I just sat there smoking the pipe,” Faulkner said.
Onedin Highlander then showed he was back to his best form with a 10.9 metre win in the AON Risk Solutions Pace before Cronin finished the night when the three-year-old gelding won the West Entertainment Group Tamworth Three-Year-Old Pace.
