NINE horses have nominated for Friday’s $20,000 Mornington Prelude (2100m) at Tamworth, with in-form Armidale mare Exilia Miss the favourite.

The winner is exempt from the ballot for the April 29 Mercure Tamworth Cup meeting.
Its is an eight-race Showcase TAB meeting worth $405,000.
The $40,000 Showcase Mornington Handicap (2100m) is one of the handful of support races to the $150,000 Mercure Showcase Tamworth Cup (1400m) on the huge race day.
Exilia Miss, prepared by Stirling Osland, has won her past two starts.
After winning a benchmark 57 over 2005m at Coffs Harbour, she won a 1900m Benchmark 70 at her home track on March 19.
The winner of five of her 23 starts, she isn’t the only last-start winner in the Prelude.
Grafton mare, Two For The Road, a six-year-old daughter of Onemorenomore, is coming off a win at Ipswich over 2150m.
Tamworth trainers Sue Grills, Craig Clegg and Michelle Fleming also have runners nominated.
Kootingal-based Fleming has entered St Luke while Grills will run Missing In Action and Clegg has nominated Thomson River.
Muswellbrook trainer Jan Bowen has nominated recent Cessnock winner Stan.
Scone trainer Brian Jenkinson has entered nine-year-old Packen.
Armidale trainer Justin Blanch joins Osland in the Mornington Prelude with recent Gunnedah winner Bob’s A Dazzler.
The eight-year-old Red dazzler gelding won this race last year.
He then finished third to Allzin in the Mornington, his only loss in four starts at the track.
The Todd Payne-trained Josie’s Saga rounds out the nomination list.
She has won just the one race, a 1700m maiden at Walcha in February and comes off a last-start third to Stirling Shadow in a Narrabri B48 on March 24.
Meanwhile, the $7000 Warialda Cup, a 1400m benchmarked 70 handicap, will be staged on Saturday. It is the feature race on a six-race non-TAB card including the $6000 Warialda Sprint, an open 1100m handicap and the main support race.
