A host of players from the 2017 line-up have departed, leaving the club in a re-building phase.
Scott Freeman, Anthony Holmes, Brad Dunham and Tom Modell have taken on the coaching roles this year and Freeman said they won’t have their starting eleven for round one against Tamworth FC decided until Thursday.
“We are literally running on empty. It is going to be a lean year, this year,” he said.
“We have a few older blokes who have come back, we haven't picked up too much.
“I don't know what the first grade squad looks like, we are still umming and ahing.”
Freeman expects it will take at least four rounds for the leadership group to decide on a line-up.
“We will get there, I reckon by about round four we might know what we are doing,” he said.
“We are on the park, that's the main thing.
“This weekend we are just going to go in with the best we can put on the park.”
