The Army Reserve Light Cavalry Scout has a specialised job that involves long range reconnaissance missions.
“I’m a dismount recon soldier for a mounted troop,” Mr Reeves said.
“I’ve got a history in the unit, my old man was here for 20 or so years and leaving school I thought I’d join the army and haven’t left since.”
Using one of the latest gun models, the EF88 rifle, Mr Reeves earned a score of 250 out of 300.
“It’s a fantastic bit of equipment and I think that’s half the reason I got a decent score,” he said.
He’s also trained as a combat first aider and can give life-saving first aid.
