Love comes in all shapes and sizes, including in our furry and feathered companions.
General manager Natalie Green said the village had been receiving regular bird and canine visitors as part of an innovative focus on the lead up to Valentine’s Day.
“We saw an large number of our residents writing about love for animals in our Love Is postcard series,” she said. “There are so many other relationships and the love from our animals is unconditional.”
As part of an innovative focus on positive ageing Royal Freemasons Benevolent Institution is rolling out a series of Love is in the Air activities to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Ms Green said the residents had developed a deep bond with the animals, particularly Hank the Tasmanian Sheepdog.
“A couple residents walk Hank every day. He is just a really nice companion for the residents,” she said.
