Duval High School student N’Dea Rumble scored an ATAR of 97.9.
And, Armidale High School student Sai Subhanu Abbaraju pulled a score of 95.6.
In the near future Sai hopes to take a gap year to work in Armidale and learn French.
“I hope to travel to Europe next year,” Sai said.
“I’d like to do a combined economics and law degree, I have an affinity for the humanities and social sciences.
“I’d like to work in the United Nations one day.”
Sai will move to Sydney to start his degree in 2019.
While N’Dea will head straight to university next year.
“I want to do something in maths, maybe actuarial studies – so banking and things like that,” she said.
“I think it will be different at university to start with but after a while I think you probably get used to it.”
At The Armidale School, Tenterfield boarder Flynn Ihle was named on the All Round Achievers List with Band 6’s in five courses.
He hopes to get into medicine, vet science, finance or politics with his ATAR of over 99.
O’Connor Catholic College student Harry Lye was named Dux of the school with an ATAR of 92.5.
“I beat out a good friend of mine by 0.1 on my ATAR for Dux,” Harry said.
“I’m hoping to go to Wollongong University to do something in maths or science – but before that I want to take a gap year, work in town and then travel Europe.”
