The Academy is marks the milestone this year and Armidale will play host to the celebrations next Friday.
At the Armidale City Bowling Club, a Sports Luncheon will be held with a special guest in former Wallaby Stephen Hoiles.
The Academy is not for profit and provides potential future stars with the opportunity to learn and improve their skills and fitness.
There are more than 250 athletes from the New England North West regions participating in Academy programs every year across 12 sports.
Being an athlete based in a regional area can have tough financial burdens placed on families and the Academy have developed the NIAS4Life Foundation to raise money for the program’s participants.
The Luncheon on November 17 will raise funds to continue developing athletes.
A two course meal, wine and beer will be provided.
The cost is $880 for a table of 10.
To book contact the NIAS team on 6766 2526 or email nias@nias.org.au
Arrival is at 12.15pm for a 12.30pm start.
