Vivienne, Cai and Euan Spiers, originally from the United Kingdom, officially became Australian citizens during a citizenship ceremony.
Mayor Michael Pearce read a letter from the Minister for Immigration and Border Protection, the Hon. Peter Dutton, officially welcoming them to Australia.
In addition to this, Mayor Pearce personally welcomed the family to Uralla presenting them with a small plant.
After the national anthem was played, councillors in attendance congratulated them.
