Established by the New England Writers’ Centre, the competition is open to aspiring and established illustrators in the region.
Judged by children’s book publishers Christmas Press and Little Pink Dog Books, the contest will be fierce.
The publishers specialise in picture books for children that reimagine traditional stories such as fairy tales, legends and myths.
Prizes will be awarded to winning entries, as well as a youth prize that includes an illustration workshop for the student’s school.
Artworks can be in any medium but should be no larger than A3, to enter visit http://www.newc.org.au.
